What the forms collect
Membership interest and contact forms collect your name, email, optional phone number, selected interests or enquiry topic, your message and permission to respond. Membership interest also asks you to confirm you are 18 or older; it does not collect your date of birth or identity documents.
How information is used
Submissions are stored privately in the website's Neon PostgreSQL database for authorised club follow-up. Submitting an interest form does not create membership, collect payment or subscribe you to marketing. Before saving your enquiry, the site emails a one-time verification code to confirm you can access the address you provided. Once verified, your request is saved and a reference appears on screen. This does not subscribe you to automated messages.
Access and retention
Submissions are not displayed publicly. The future club workspace will restrict access by responsibility. The club needs to confirm its privacy contact, retention period and handling procedures before launch. To request a correction or withdrawal during this preview, use the contact form and include your submission reference, without adding sensitive identity documents.
Basic service protection
The service stores a salted hash derived from the request's network address and email to limit repeated form submissions. Rate-limit records have a two-hour expiry. The maintenance command removes expired records. This preview does not add analytics or advertising cookies.
Verification records contain your email, request type, a protected code hash and expiry information. Codes expire after 10 minutes, allow five attempts and can be used for one request. The maintenance command removes verification records older than 24 hours. The saved enquiry retains the time your email was verified. Email delivery uses the website's configured SMTP provider.
Accounts, sign-in and passkeys
Creating an account stores your name, email address, email-verification status and a protected password hash. Creating an account does not approve membership or grant board access. Password sign-in requires a separate email code; you can also register a passkey for sign-in.
Passkey records contain a public key and device information, never your fingerprint, face scan or device PIN. Those stay with your authenticator. Essential cookies maintain your sign-in and verification challenges. Sessions last up to seven days and may renew while you use the site; signing out ends your current session. Resetting a password revokes previous sessions.
For authentication protection, session records also store the network address and browser information, and persistent rate-limit records restrict repeated attempts. Account verification and reset links expire in 30 minutes, and sign-in email codes expire in five minutes. The maintenance command removes expired authentication sessions and challenges, and authentication rate-limit records older than 24 hours.
About the images
The coastal, volunteering, fellowship and leadership images are illustrative concepts generated with Google Stitch. They do not identify actual members, officeholders or documented club events. Historical stories link to their public sources. Club-approved original photographs can replace these concepts before launch.
